Job summary

NWI Aerostructures is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead assembly and production operations at the Nashville facility. You will oversee painting and processing departments, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with Quality, Industrial, and Manufacturing engineering to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of related experience, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years related experience.
• Paint/Process, Machining, and/or Aerospace manufacturing/assembly process management experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma knowledge.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Union Shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of painting and processing departments.
• Align manufacturing deliverables with policies while directing work and resolving issues.
• Directly manage area supervisors and enforce schedules and budgets.
• Drive improvements in production methods, quality, equipment, and efficiency.
• Support management in budgeting for respective departments.
• Prepare performance reports for senior management.
• Ensure ongoing quality, growth, and elimination of manufacturing variances.
• Maintain customer service levels and coordinate cross-functional departments.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
• Maintain a positive work environment and staff motivation.
