Job summary

Honeycomb Company of America, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team operating a variety of machines and processes to manufacture bonded aerostructures. You will oversee daily production and coordinate workflow to meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, interpreting job orders, planning material flow, and collaborating with other departments to hit customer deadlines while improving efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or one to three years' related experience in aviation and aerospace/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, ERP System Management.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes work orders and motivates employees to ensure compliance.
• Monitors employees’ clock-in and out times per the requirements of HCOA.
• Manages employee’s production output ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner.
• Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.
• Interfaces with other departments in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Submits requisitions when tools or product is needed and inspects materials upon receipt.
