Job summary

Honeycomb Company of America, Inc. is seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in aircraft composite and metal bonded structures. The role emphasizes translating OEM drawings into manufacturable processes and documentation, with strong CAD and data interpretation skills.

The position requires 1–3 years in aerospace structures, familiarity with SolidWorks, CATIA, and bonding/composites, and the ability to collaborate across teams to improve throughput and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in the manufacture or repair of aerospace composite structures.
• Experience using SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with metal bonding processes.
• Experience with composites and plus.
• Experience with loft data interpretation and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge in NC routing, sheet metal manuf., brake forming, welding, machining, heat treating, chemical processing, anodizing, chem-milling, stretch forming, hydro-forming, composite layup and cure, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar.
• Strong ability to work across functional teams; detail oriented and good written/verbal communication.
• Functional knowledge of CATIA, Fibersim, and model based definition.
• Experience with NADCAP, ISO9000, AS9100, AS9102.
• Experience with ERP/MRP Systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing requirements derived from OEM drawings, process specs, loft data, and contracts.
• Create total manufacturing instruction package for fabrication of metal bonded and composite structures.
• Create BOMs, CAD drawings, and detailed manufacturing instructions for parts, assemblies, tooling, and inspection/test requirements.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel and perform redlines.
• Support Quality with non-conformance investigations.
• Support Purchasing in selection of materials and suppliers.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality to develop solutions for throughput, cost savings, and quality.
• Contribute to growth strategy and exceed customer expectations.
