Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, VA is hiring for several hourly Production Generalist roles to support diverse manufacturing operations. You will read instructions, lift with equipment, record data, and prepare molds and castings per specifications.

Starting pay ranges from $21.07 to $22.24 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour shift premium when on off-shift, plus potential increases after six months. Must be available for all shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Resume and at least two professional references must be provided for review.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of continuous work experience; new graduates must provide a letter of recommendation.
• Availability for all shifts (2nd, 3rd, weekends) is required; overtime and weekend work may be needed.
• Employees must be legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Export-controlled data access and compliance with related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow printed and computer-based work instructions.
• Lift with a mechanical lifting device.
• Record data manually or by computer as required.
• Build ceramic molds around wax assemblies and remove wax.
• Inspect, dispose, and prepare molds for casting.
• Transport and set up molds for preheat and casting furnaces.
• Inspect wax patterns or castings for dimensional conformance.
• Move parts and materials around the shop.
• Perform shop floor cleaning and maintain workspace.
