Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to turn concepts into production-ready hardware for the New Glenn program. You will develop manufacturing plans, perform design-for-manufacturability assessments, and help align design, build, and test activities to accelerate flight hardware delivery.

Responsibilities include integrating tooling, coordinating with suppliers, and driving continuous improvement to safety, quality, and cost.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years demonstrated ability as a Manufacturing/Materials/Process/engineer.
• Proven experience with aerospace hardware, assembly, and manufacturing systems.
• Experience with testing and qualification of hardware for flight applications.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level manufacturing plans for fabrication through refurbishment.
• Provide DFx recommendations to design teams for component, assembly and systems.
• Develop prototype and qualification hardware and tooling to improve and qualify designs.
• Design, procure, install, and integrate manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with suppliers to meet schedule and budget.
