Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Hampton, VA is seeking a Product Machinist to operate multiple machine tools and machine metal and plastic parts per specifications. The role requires reading work instructions, data recording, and maintaining quality within tight tolerances.

You will work 3rd shift (10pm–6am) with training on 1st shift (6am–2pm) and may be scheduled for overtime as needed. The position starts at an hourly rate of $24.52, with a $1.00 shift premium on off shifts and potential increases after

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year CNC manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Availability for all shifts including weekends; willing to work overtime as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate drill press, surface grinders, vertical milling machines, and engine lathes to spec.
• Read and follow work instructions; record data in required systems.
• Inspect parts with calipers and gauges to within tolerances.
• Machine plastics or nonmetals to spec; perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering, management, and other teams to meet production goals.
