Job summary

Actalent seeks a Product Engineer in Groton, CT to manage aerospace investment casting programs from quotation through production. You will be the primary engineering owner, collaborating with customers, Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, and Operations to support development, launch, and sustained production of complex aerospace components.

Qualifications

• Product engineering/manufacturing experience in investment casting/aerospace.
• Knowledge of aerospace investment casting processes.
• Experience with structural engine components and superalloy castings.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and GD&T.
• Experience leading NPI and lifecycle activities.
• Experience resolving manufacturability and quality concerns.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action tools.
• Experience collaborating across functions across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage aerospace investment casting products from quotation to production.
• Serve as primary engineering contact for programs.
• Lead new product introduction activities for complex aerospace components.
• Review customer specs, drawings, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
• Investigate manufacturing/quality issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support PFMEAs, Control Plans, and manufacturing documentation.
• Communicate program status and technical risks to customers and stakeholders.
