Job summary

AMS Group, Inc. in Torrance, CA seeks an Aerospace Product Engineer to own the technical lifecycle from conception to delivery. You will analyze TDPs, solve obsolescence issues, and design test equipment while coordinating production rollout with multiple departments.

Preferred candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5–10 years in aerospace/defense, with experience in IPC/SAE standards and ERP systems. ITAR compliance and strong problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of electronics, CCAs and electrical assemblies.
• Ability to assess manufacturability and process risk.
• Experience with Military specifications is preferred.
• ERP systems experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Review TDPs, drawings and specifications to identify gaps and risks.
• Resolve obsolescence issues through research and testing.
• Evaluate suppliers and surface issues before schedule impact.
• Design test equipment and write build documentation.
• Transfer knowledge to production and train operators.
• Create and manage engineering documentation.
