Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics or Engineering Sciences with 2–6 years mechanical engineering experience.
• Leadership and professional communication with co-workers, customers and management.
• Analytical problem solving; define problems, collect data and draw conclusions.
• English language required; other languages are assets.
• Mathematical skills in dynamics, stress and basic analysis; familiarity with materials.
• Windows/Microsoft Office and CAD; ability to prepare tables and reports.
• Teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and qualification of products and technologies.
• Maintain customer contact and coordinate progress with customer engineers.
• Coordinate product development to meet cost and lead time constraints.
• Coordinate design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, quality and other support.
• Provide guidance selecting materials and design experiments.
• Research documents, review data and converge on compliant designs.
• Communicate program status to the customer and management.
• Identify risks and resolve issues to meet program objectives.
• Report status and budgets; participate in MRB activities.
• Travel regularly: North America, Europe, Asia and/or South America.
