Job summary

Hutchinson in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Senior PDE to lead detailed design for manufacturing robust products. You will direct FEA workflows, define prints and specs, develop prototypes, and drive DFM from RFQ to production launch, ensuring cost and performance targets are met.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply APQP/DOE/8D methodologies, benchmark industry trends, and continuously improve designs and processes while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent required.
• Proficient in FEA, DFM, APQP and DOE.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed design and establish prints and specs.
• Direct FEA workflow to ensure robust design.
• Drive DFM from RFQ to production launch.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams.
• Apply APQP, DOE and 8D methods for quality issues.
