Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group in California seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, validate, and support electro-mechanical aerospace products from concept through production. You will participate in multidisciplinary teams in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 1 year of regulated aerospace design experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks, GD&T, FEA, engineering drawings, materials selection, and electromechanical product design.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461) is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment; sensor tech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-mechanical products from concept through qualification, validation, and production release.
• Perform mechanical design, material selection, FEA, tolerance stack-up, strength and fatigue analysis, and DFM to ensure performance and reliability.
• Create engineering documentation including 3D models, drawings, DFMEA/PFMEA, FMECA, APQP, PPAP, and qualification documentation while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers to support prototype builds and production readiness.

• .Perform mechanical design, material selection, FEA, tolerance stack-up, strength and fatigue analysis, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to ensure product performance and reliability
• .Create engineering documentation including 3D models, drawings, work instructions, test plans, DFMEA/PFMEA, FMECA, APQP, PPAP, and qualification documentation while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards
• .Partner with electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers to support prototype builds, production readiness, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualificatio
