Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the design, development and testing of aerospace products. You will use SolidWorks to create 3D CAD models, generate drawings and analysis reports in accordance with customer specs and applicable standards.

You will prepare qualification test plans and support FAA/RTCA DO160 compliant certification, while improving design processes. This role involves ECO/ECN handling and EPDM document releases on multi-project efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 4+ years in product design, development and testing for aerospace.
• Experience with interior aircraft components & systems design & development.
• SolidWorks experience is required; knowledge of FAA DO160 guidelines is noted.

Responsibilities

• Design & development of components, assemblies, and subsystems per specs.
• Create 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks and generate analyses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have Minimum of 4 + years’ experience in product design, development and testing of products for Aerospace
• Prefer design & development of interior aircraft components & systems with materials like: sheet-metal, machined and plastic parts & assemblies.
• SolidWorks experience is required.
• Knowledge of product data management and FE analysis.
• Complete proficiency with Engineering Change Management
• Experience developing qualification & test reports

Responsibilities:

• Design & Development of components, assemblies, and subsystems for new product development per company and customer specifications.
• Perform detail design using SolidWorks to generate 3D CAD models, detail drawings & generate analysis reports per the company, customer specifications and applicable designstandards.
• Prepare Qualification test plans, similarity reports, acceptance test procedures, qualificationtest reports & other engineering documentations to support the qualification & certification of products per the applicable FAA and RTCA DO160 guidelines.
• Develop and improve the design processes; create best practices & implementation across the projects.
• Review design, and manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable industry andcompany standards.
• Process ECO/ECN and implement design changes on assigned products, generating drawingsand documents and release them in EPDM system.
• Devise and implement proof of concept prototype test plans, conduct tests; data collectionand test report to support the designs.
