Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to drive procurement in a fast-paced aerospace setting. The role covers sourcing, negotiating, and issuing purchase orders across controls & accessories, test hardware, and manufacturing support equipment.

The ideal candidate will navigate FAR/DFARS, maintain compliance, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or regulated industries.
• Hands-on sourcing experience with electronics, including PCBs, motors, and pumps.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related compliance documentation for U.S. government contracts.
• Ability to read and interpret statements of work and equipment specifications; proficient in Excel and procurement analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities for various categories.
• Manage RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, bid analysis, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Procure electronics, PCBs, motors, pumps, tooling, test hardware, and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and government contracting regulations throughout the process.
• Prepare, review, and maintain compliance documentation including flow-down clauses.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Quality, Finance and Program Management.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, service agreements, and long-term supply arrangements.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships for quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness.
• Identify cost reduction, process improvement, and supply chain risk mitigation initiatives.
• Maintain procurement records and sourcing documentation within ERP/MRP systems.
• Support audits and documentation for AS9100, ISO standards and government contracting compliance.
