Job summary

Beehive Industries in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Buyer to own outside processing and special services procurement in a fast-paced aerospace/defense setting. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and industry standards. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–7+ years of purchasing, with strong negotiation and ERP/MRP experience.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or regulated industries.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
• Ability to read and interpret statements of work and technical specs.
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement analytics.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Nice to have: aerospace/defense exposure; experience with long-term supply agreements and ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders and supplier relationships for outside processing and special services.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier selection, bid analysis, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and long-term supply arrangements.
• Maintain supplier performance in quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
• Identify cost-reduction and supply chain risk mitigation opportunities.
• Maintain procurement records and sourcing documentation in ERP/MRP systems.
• Support audits and AS9100/ISO compliance documentation.
• Coordinate material shipments to/from outside processors to support production.
