RTX is seeking a software engineer to contribute to system integration of distributed signal processing systems running Linux. This onsite role in the US involves developing C++ embedded and real-time algorithms and collaborating with hardware and software teams.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and practical C++ and Linux experience. Preferred skills include Git, CMake, GoogleTest, GDB, Jira, Jenkins, and UML.

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration on distributed heterogeneous signal processing systems running Linux.
• Code, test, and integrate C++ embedded/real-time signal processing algorithms or control functions.
• Defect resolution and maintenance/updating of existing codebases.
• Analyze numerical accuracy, runtime latency, and other system metrics.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and other software engineers to understand and implement end-user requirements.
• Maintain high code quality by supporting code reviews, static analysis, continuous integration.
