Job summary

gpac is seeking a Process Engineer to own and improve the production of precision aerospace components by developing manufacturing processes, creating MWIs, and designing tooling for efficient, quality-driven production. You will interpret drawings, create 3D models, and plan operations with a Lean mindset, balancing quality, cost, and throughput on the shop floor.

The role requires strong communication with manufacturing teams and a hands-on approach on the shop floor to ensure repeatable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
• Around 8 years in manufacturing/process engineering.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D modeling.
• Experience in planning manufacturing sequences and designing fixtures and tooling.
• Experience with NX CAD platform.
• Comfortable spending real time on the shop floor, juggling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and create engineering drawings and 3D models to support manufacturing planning.
• Design and detail tooling and fixtures to support efficient, repeatable, and high-quality production processes.
• Create and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWIs) and technical documentation.
• Plan and sequence manufacturing operations with a focus on quality, cost, and throughput.
• Assist in the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles and cost-saving strategies.
