Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP, a division of Senior plc, seeks a Metal Fitter for the 2nd shift in California. You will set up and fit detailed aircraft components, perform hand grinding, expanding and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for heliarc/tacking and welding operations.

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety standards, and maintaining output and quality targets. A strong team environment with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 3–6 months of related training.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Basic understanding of fabrication workflows and safety.

Responsibilities

• Align machined details or stampings preparatory to welding.
• Trim, scribes, file or grind parts to templates or lines.
• Set up single jobs in assembly jig for welding.
• Assist higher classified workers as required.
• Perform rework, repair and related operations.
• Maintain minimum output of 65%.
• Maintain minimum product quality acceptance of 90%.
• Follow all policies and procedures; perform other duties.
