Job summary

Advanced Integration Technology, LP is seeking a Fitter to assemble structural frameworks and housings from raw material, preparing metal components for welding. You will verify workpiece conformance, align parts, and operate fabricating machinery to form components.

The role requires reading blueprints and using hand/power tools, with responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and potential government security clearance. Indoor production setting with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices.
• Follows processes and standard procedures.
• Hands-on, can-do attitude.
• Uses hand tools and power tools.
• Works in a high energy, high volume environment.
• Shows initiative and timely task completion.
• Maintains accuracy and thoroughness.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications.
• Align and fit parts per specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (breaks, rolls, shears, drills).
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, or straps for welding or riveting.
• Chip or grind off excess welds and slag.
• Review parts against prints from kitting area.
• Fabricate and revise fixtures, jigs, gauges.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and related equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
