Job summary

Senior Aerospace SSP, a division of Senior plc, is seeking a Metal Fitter to set up and fit detailed parts on aircraft and aerospace assemblies. You will perform hand grinding, expanding and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for heliarc tacking, welding and/or resistance welding under general supervision. Education: High School Diploma or GED (or 3–6 months training).

Shift: Monday–Friday 5:00am–3:30pm. Annual target salary $49,920.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED, or 3–6 months of related training, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with blueprint dimensions and tolerances is advantageous.
• Welding preparation and manual fitting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align machined details or stampings prep for welding operations.
• Trim, file or grind parts to templates or scribed lines.
• Set up single jobs in assembly jig for welding.
• Assist higher classified workers as required.
• Perform rework, repair and related operations.
• Maintain minimum output of 65%.
• Maintain minimum product quality acceptance of 90%.
• Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
