Job summary

CMI Group Aerospace & Defense in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Precision Deburr & Hand Finishing Technician to deburr, edge break, radius, blend and hand finish precision-machined aerospace components per drawings and specs.

You will read GD&T, inspect parts for dimensional integrity, operate deburring tools and finishing equipment, maintain clean 5S work area, and follow AS9100 and ITAR requirements while supporting a 40-hour week on 1st or 2nd shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of precision deburring or hand finishing in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, GD&T, and deburr sketches.
• Experience with pneumatic, electric, and manual deburring tools.
• Knowledge of materials: aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and aerospace alloys.

Responsibilities

• Deburr, edge break, radius, blend, polish, and hand finish aerospace components per drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints, GD&T, deburr sketches, and manufacturing routings.
• Remove burrs while preserving dimensional integrity and surface finishes.
• Operate deburring tools and finishing equipment and maintain quality inspections.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow 5S practices and AS9100/ITAR requirements.
• Document production records and communicate defects to QA and Manufacturing.
