Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Hastings, MI seeks an Aerospace Precision CNC Machinist to set up and operate lathes and mills, verify prints, and produce high-spec aerospace components to tight tolerances. You will select tooling, load fixtures, set work offsets, read blueprints, and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers, while maintaining throughput and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist with lathes and/or mills.
• Experience with Mazak controls is a plus but not a must.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Skilled at reading and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Detail oriented with a passion for quality.
• Problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.

Aerospace Precision CNC Machinist — Lathes & MillsLocation: Hastings, MIA day in this roleYou clock in and review the day’s build schedule for aerospace components and other high-spec parts. With prints in hand, you select tooling, load fixtures, and set work offsets. You’ll bring a 3–4 axis VMC or a 2–4 axis CNC lathe online, verify programs, run a first-article, and capture measurements with micrometers and calipers. Throughout the day, you’ll keep the equipment humming—fine-tuning feeds and speeds, troubleshooting small issues before they become big ones, and partnering with teammates to improve takt time and reduce scrap.
