Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Texas seeks a Public Relations Manager to lead media relations and amplify the company’s story across aerospace, defense, and technology audiences. You will manage press releases, media inquiries, and corporate messaging in collaboration with stakeholders.

Travel up to 30% is required; experience with earnings communications and investor relations is preferred. This role requires strong writing and established media relationships to translate technical information for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications.
• Experience with quarterly earnings and investor relations.
• Experience with media monitoring and database platforms (Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack).
• Experience with crisis communications and high-stakes media situations.
• Established relationships with aerospace/defense/tech media preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of press releases for milestones, contracts, partnerships, and updates.
• Manage media inquiries; triage requests and prepare spokespeople for interviews.
• Build and maintain relationships with top-tier aerospace, defense, technology, and financial media.
• Develop corporate messaging for clear communication across external channels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and amplify program milestones across launch, lunar, and in-space products.
• Support speaking engagements and provide talking points and briefing materials.
