Job summary

Safran Cabin in Carson, CA seeks a Planner I to join the Supply Chain team to oversee planning activities and ensure on-time delivery of the product. You will produce schedules, material lists, and production plans as part of materials planning and manufacturing coordination.

The role targets 0-2 years of experience, requires MS Office skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, and MRP system exposure; this is a full-time permanent position in North America with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience.
• MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to read and analyze engineering prints
• MRP system experience
• Planning, logistics certification

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and create level Bill of Material
• Evaluates shortages and manages prompt solutions keeping appropriate stakeholders informed of any potential problem as required.
• Analyzes demand and plans supply in accordance, ensures efficient and quality execution of requirements and purchasing action messages, manages supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance and improvement.
• Ensures material flow and production activity are aligned.
• Reads and reviews engineering drawings and documentation and coordinate any changes
• Supports testing and certification requirements for new programs
• Preserves engineering revision control
• Confirm accuracy of pertinent data in the company ERP system
• Collaborates with stakeholders on lead times, planning items and any related elements
• Performs work under direct supervision
• Handles basic issues and problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher level staff
