Job summary

Eaton's IS AER FMC division in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Planner to support MRP planning, scheduling, and expediting components to satisfy customer orders while maintaining inventory levels.

The role involves planning future requirements through production status analysis, directing shop floor priorities, and coordinating with Purchasing to ensure an uninterrupted flow to the Master Schedule; salary range is $82,000 to $120,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in supply chain planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations and/or shipping / receiving.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Los Angeles, CA will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Initiate documentation and system transactions to allocate, manufacture internally, or reschedule material.
• Plan and release work orders to meet customer orders while maintaining lead time and inventory levels.
• Track critical items in SAP to meet revenue plan and reduce PD.
• Identify and report potential problems causing missed deadlines or quality issues.
• Perform clerical duties to maintain WIP accuracy.
• Lead shortage meetings with cross-functional teams and expedite material to meet shortfalls.
• Balance demand with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to ensure on-time completion.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure uninterrupted flow and support the Master Schedule.
• Create short-term schedule for value stream and ensure understanding of financial projections.
• Focus on OTD, OTR, aging WIP, PD and QN metrics to drive actions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and returns (MRB & RMA).
