Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a PCB soldering technician in Torrance, CA to perform through-hole and SMT soldering on complex electronic assemblies. You will assemble, solder, rework components, and ensure compliance with J-STD-001 standards while maintaining detailed production documentation and collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on PCB/electronics soldering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• J-STD-001 certification preferred.
• Experience with through-hole and/or SMT soldering.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with ESD-controlled manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a production team.

Responsibilities

• Perform through-hole and/or surface-mount soldering on PCBs and electronic assemblies.
• Assemble, solder, modify, and rework PCB components according to drawings and specs.
• Follow J-STD-001 standards and workmanship requirements.
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies for workmanship, polarity, and defects.
• Read engineering drawings, schematics, instructions, and BOMs; maintain accuracy in docs.
• Identify workmanship issues and communicate quality concerns to the team.
• Work with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve issues.
