Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced ECAD design engineer to own PCB layout and documentation for high‑reliability aerospace programs. You will perform hands‑on ECAD work, manage electrical and physical constraints, and collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to meet program schedules.

The role emphasizes multistory PCB designs, DFM/DFT integration, and contribution to ECAD standards within a regulated aerospace environment. Remote U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant ECAD/PCB experience.
• Experience with PCB layout using ECAD tools (Siemens Xpedition preferred; Cadence Allegro/Altium acceptable).
• Experience designing multilayer PCBs and managing electrical constraints in layout.

Responsibilities

• Own ECAD design execution for assigned scope, aligned to program schedules and engineering requirements.
• Perform hands-on ECAD design and layout for complex PCB card assemblies (multilayer, HDI).
• Support schematic capture and layout while managing electrical and physical constraints (high-speed, high-current).
• Communicate design status, risks, and schedule impacts with stakeholders and program teams.
• Develop and maintain ECAD documentation packages (fabrication and assembly).
• Manage ECAD data within PLM systems and ensure configuration-management compliance.
