Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for an Aerospace Painter on the grave shift in Kent, WA. This role involves preparing and painting aerospace components in a high-volume metal finishing environment, supporting experienced painters, and ensuring accurate work on a fast-paced production line.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, following detailed work instructions, and adhering to safety and quality standards. This onsite role offers benefits and stability within a large manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Read and follow written instructions accurately and consistently.
• Experience in fast-paced production or manufacturing facility.
• Experience as a machine operator in a production or industrial environment.
• Willingness to perform additional shop duties outside core painting tasks, including clean-up and general housekeeping.
• Capable of lifting and handling parts up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work on a production line.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and production workflows.
• Experience in metal finishing or aerospace painting preferred, including fundamentals of masking and surface prep.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aerospace parts for painting, including cleaning and masking per work instructions.
• Learn and follow priming and painting processes in the booth while supporting experienced painters.
• Move, rack, and organize parts to maintain production flow.
• Work accurately on a fast-paced production line to meet quality and throughput targets.
• Operate shop machinery following safety procedures.
• Read and follow written instructions and process documentation without deviation.
• Perform general shop/warehouse duties and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Collaborate with team to support lean manufacturing practices.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance requirements for aerospace painting.
