Hytek Finishes Co. in Kent, WA is seeking an Aerospace Painter for 1st shift. The role involves applying paints and primers to aerospace parts, prepping screens and moving parts through paint booths and ovens, while coordinating with paint team leads to maintain quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment and annual physical exam required; ability to wear a respirator.
• Regular and dependable attendance.
• Ability to read/write English with others.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Export license may be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Plans the production for the shift by analyzing what parts are to be painted and coordinating flow to maximize quality and productivity.
• Receives parts to be painted from paint assistant or coordinator and verifies processes.
• Works with Paint Assistants and other Painters to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follows traveler, technique card, POs, and instructions from Leads.
• Mixes paint to specifications and paints parts with required thickness.
• Uses Isoscope to verify paint thickness and maintains paint booths and guns.
• Moves racks between staging and oven and ensures paperwork accuracy.
• Performs part preparation, inspection, and testing as required.
