Hytek Finishes Co. is seeking an Aerospace Paint Assistant in Kent, WA, onsite. This full-time, non-exempt role operates on the 2nd shift with a 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

schedule. The position involves preparing parts for paint, handling screens in paint booths, and supporting quality and safety standards while following FAA and OEM guidelines. Compensation includes a competitive hourly wage of $19.30–$28.80, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for skills development.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment and annual physical exam required; ability to wear a respirator.
• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Painters and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads.
• General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Prepare parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards.
• Perform inspection, measuring, and testing or part surfaces as required.
• Maintain paint guns and paint booths ensuring cleanliness at the close of shifts.
• Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Follow safety precautions as trained.
• Other duties as assigned.
