Job summary

Astronics PECO in Clackamas, Oregon, is seeking an industrial painter to join our team on the swing shift (3pm-11:30pm, Monday–Friday). This is a union position with competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, pension, paid vacation, and 11 paid holidays.

You will mix paints, spray finish parts, wear an airline hood and full suit, and maintain PPE and the paint booth. Adhere to safety, quality standards, and proper disposal of waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Previous industrial painting experience, preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft office applications.
• Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to perform basic math computation such as add subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Selectand mixpaint and accurately spray finish the parts
• Wear appropriate airline hood and full suit
• Maintainand documentmaintenance of personal protective equipment
• Maintainpaint booth
• Properly collect and dispose of paint media to applicable rules and regulations
• Cleanspraying equipment and brusheswith appropriate chemicals
• AttendQuality Manual Standards Training and applyQuality Standards accordingly
• Observesafety and security procedures; Reportpotentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly
• Reportto work consistently on time and work an 8-hour shift
