Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a Painter I–III to prepare surfaces, apply protective coatings, and operate spray equipment on production parts in a high-safety manufacturing environment.

The role requires reading drawings, mathematics, basic inspection skills, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Training will progress from Painter I to Painter III with cross-functional support.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Must read and work from industry specifications.
• Demonstrate accurate basic math skills.
• Demonstrate accurate use of a tape measure and measurement tools.
• Perform dimensional inspection using calipers, dial indicator, thickness gauge.
• Basic computer skills to navigate files and records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for paint application.
• Apply protective coatings to metal and composite products.
• Operate HVLP spray guns, ovens, spray booths and pneumatic tools.
• Follow safety directives and 5S standards.
• Maintain clean work area and production paperwork.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specs.
