Job summary

University Swaging, part of Precision Castparts Corp., seeks an Operations Supervisor for Paint and NDT to oversee daily aerospace manufacturing activities on-site in Woodinville, WA. Lead a team, ensure quality, safety, and cost targets, and drive continuous improvement in coating and inspection processes.

You will hire, train, discipline, and assess production staff, while coordinating plans, metrics, and documentation to meet customer specifications and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions.
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing, paint and NDT processes.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.
• Willingness to learn and train others as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for departmental operations to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals.
• Create daily and weekly production plans; calculate productivity and cost metrics.
• Daily reporting of key metrics and adherence to targets.
• Provide leadership and technical direction for the team.
• Maintain shift rotation schedule to meet business needs.
• Lead in establishing standard processes and tools.
• Manage personnel performance, reviews, discipline, time and attendance, training.
• Ensure lean manufacturing tools are used in new processes.
• Lead continuous improvement across the department.
• Communicate updates to Managers.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and accident prevention.
• Oversee primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings per engineering specs.
• Review inspection results and document findings.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve discrepancies.
