Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Tukwila, WA, seeks a supervisor for the day-to-day operation of an aerospace manufacturing department.

You will supervise employees, schedule manpower, ensure material and tooling, train, evaluate performance, monitor processing, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement and troubleshooting. The role requires 2–5+ years of supervisory experience (machine shop preferred), strong communication, and ability to motivate.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a machine shop.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control in area per production schedules and the Operations Manager.
• Reduce operating inefficiencies, absenteeism, rework time, and downtime.
• Develop, train and motivate employees for maximum efficiency and morale.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; train for hazardous materials handling.
• Maintain full documentation for all actions.
• Manage production metrics: output, cost control, continuous improvement.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the area; conduct timely performance reviews.
• Provide training to new employees; schedule vacations per policy.
• Coordinate project status with adjacent shifts.
