Job summary

Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. in California is seeking an assembler to build simple to moderate complexity aerospace components, including assemblies used in DC lighting.

The role focuses on delivering on-time, quality parts by adhering to precise specifications and workmanship standards while supporting team success and continuous improvement. Key tasks include primer/paint prep, paint mixing, assembly per work instructions, in-process testing and ongoing maintenance of quality

Qualifications

• General high school education or equivalent.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Able to use standard measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, height gauges).
• Ability to use volt meters, power supplies, hand presses and general hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform primer/paint prepping of parts by cleaning and masking.
• Perform paint/primer mixing tasks to technical data sheets.
• Paint/prime components using spray gun in paint booth as required.
• Clean up paint area and equipment upon completion of tasks per accepted methods.
• Build assemblies per work instructions, blueprints and specifications daily.
• Perform in-process testing as required.
• Perform Quality Workmanship.
• Recommend work instruction changes to manufacturing outline as needed.
• Meet daily production assignments.
