Job summary

Ontic Chatsworth, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking an assembler to build complex mechanical/electromechanical products from drawings and specs. You will solder, terminate wires, align components, and perform tests with a focus on precision and quality.

Onsite in Chatsworth, CA, with opportunities across experience levels to mentor others, participate in continuous improvement, and contribute to critical aircraft systems manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electromechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, or work instructions.
• Experience with soldering and wire termination techniques.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical/electromechanical products and subassemblies per drawings and specs.
• Install, align, adjust, and fit components using hand tools and torque equipment.
• Perform soldering and wire termination and prepare/c terminate cables as needed.
• Support inspection, calibration and functional testing to verify product conformance.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly or test issues with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
• Document quality and production data accurately and help improve work instructions.
