Job summary

Electro-Methods, Inc., a Stronvar Aerospace company, is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer – Outside Services to join our aerospace manufacturing team in South Windsor, Connecticut. This role sources, procures, and coordinates outsourced services such as machining, heat treating, plating, testing, inspection, and related processes to support production.

The Buyer manages supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery tracking to ensure on-time delivery, cost competitiveness,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or related field.
• Minimum of three years in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP or MRPII systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and source outside service providers for aerospace needs.
• Solicit RFQs, analyze supplier proposals, and select sourcing options.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term sourcing agreements.
• Create and manage purchase orders and ensure accurate specifications.
• Monitor delivery performance and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
