Job summary

RTCA in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Buyer to plan, coordinate, and execute purchasing for Outside Processing, supporting Quality, Engineering, Planning, Estimating, Manufacturing, and Finance.

You will maintain supplier relationships, issue POs for heat treating, anodizing, NDT, passivation, and painting, and drive cost containment while meeting lead times and compliance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Independently manages routine OSP POs and vendor communications.
• Supports quote activities for Estimating and timely return of processed parts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute purchasing functions for Outside Processing (OSP).
• Source and maintain vendor relationships meeting aerospace standards for quality, lead time, and cost.
• Create, manage, and track POs for outside services (heat treating, anodizing, NDT, passivation, painting).
• Negotiate pricing and monitor supplier performance to contain costs.
• Collaborate with Shipping/Receiving to manage logistics for OSP parts.
• Ensure JIT support and resolve discrepancies in invoicing and documentation.
