RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a ~20-person team in Windsor Locks, CT, directing daily operations across safety, quality, delivery, and customer service. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service to meet aggressive turnaround times and financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience in production, operations or manufacturing in supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of approximately 20 employees, establishing clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily operations to meet turnaround time, customer service, delivery, and sales objectives.
• Manage the administrative, operational, financial, technical, and contractual aspects of assigned programs and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of work.
• Monitor operational performance, identify constraints and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives utilizing Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to perform work in accordance with FAA-acceptable work instructions and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Use SAP or equivalent enterprise systems to monitor performance, manage resources, and support data-driven decision making.
