Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead a ~30-person union team on second shift, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and productivity. You will coordinate staffing, monitor performance, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance and Customer Service to resolve issues and improve processes.

The role emphasizes lean improvements, FAA-aligned procedures, and resource protection throughout the repair sequence.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Ability to work 1st shift hours: Monday - Friday 7AM – 3:30 PM.
• Experience in aerospace MRO, component repair, overhaul, or aftermarket operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of union employees, establishing clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of second shift operations, ensuring work is prioritized and completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
• Plan and coordinate daily staffing, workflow, and resources to meet turnaround time (TAT), on-time delivery, customer service, and productivity objectives.
• Monitor shift performance, identify operational constraints, and take timely action to address issues impacting safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service to resolve operational issues and ensure timely completion of repair activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction opportunities by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing Lean methodologies and best practices.
