Job summary

Hexcel Burlington in Burlington, WA is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting business objectives.

The role directs cross-functional teams, drives process improvements (LEAN and Six Sigma), manages capacity and resources, and participates in audits (AS9100, Nadcap). Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Engineering from a 4-year college or university.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible Operations Management or related experience in the Aerospace industry.
• MBA degree is a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience and job shop experience required.
• Demonstrated logistics, materials, and supply chain experience preferred.
• Demonstrated lean implementation success and Daily Management Systems (DMS).
• Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills and be able to work effectively across all areas of the business.
• Computer literacy including proficiency in use of ERP/MES/PowerBi and the full Microsoft Office Suite of Products.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and sustains a strong safety culture and safe work environment.
• Develops processes to meet customer requirements with cost, quality, delivery, safety considerations.
• Monitors and communicates plant capacity including human and physical resources.
• Sets SMART objectives and monitors progress linked to Plant and Corporate goals.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly production targets and supports talent development.
• Collaborates daily with production personnel to maintain engagement.
• Leads in customer and industrial audits to ensure compliance.
• Operates in compliance with the Hexcel Burlington Quality System and Policy.
