Job summary

Hexcel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer IV at our Kent, WA location. You will provide advanced engineering support for production programs, lead cross-functional process improvements, mentor engineers, and drive new program introductions to meet customer and business objectives.

The role requires a strong manufacturing background, leadership, and expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, RCCA, PFMEA/FMEA, and data-driven decision making. Comprehensive benefits and total rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum six years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor engineers and staff.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, RCCA, PFMEA/FMEA and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced manufacturing engineering support and technical leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize BOMs, routings, and manufacturing plans.
• Lead cross-functional process improvement and product improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate process expertise across multiple areas and mentor teams.
• Lead new program introduction and ramp-up activities with manufacturability assessment.
• Lead large-scale CI projects and investigations using FMEA, RCCA, PHA, statistics.
• Develop measurement plans and analyze data to verify actions and reduce variation.
• Represent manufacturing engineering with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
