Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney West Palm Beach Engine Center is seeking an Operations Supervisor (M3) to lead a unionized team of mechanics and inspectors through engine assembly, testing, and related operations. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and financial performance while driving continuous improvement and effective cross-team communication.

You will devise and execute operational strategies, optimize resources, and ensure customer-focused outcomes in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 2+ years of personnel management experience, ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations team and set near- and long-term objectives.
• Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules based on customer requirements and resources.
• Address issues and engage the workforce to achieve engine assembly, test operations and delivery goals.
• Communicate cross-functional requirements to ensure smooth process flow.
• Hold employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Maintain a world-class safety culture and promptly respond to EH&S requirements.
• Involve the team in CORE continuous improvement initiatives to improve production and reduce costs.
