You will drive EH&S, quality, and financial performance, optimize resources, and champion continuous improvement across functions.

The role requires an advanced degree with 3+ years in operations or a bachelor’s with 5+ years in aerospace, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree with 3+ years in operations, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in relevant industry.
  • Associate’s degree with 7+ years in relevant industry.
  • High School diploma or Military/Technical Training with 9+ years in relevant industry.
  • Experience with Pratt & Whitney shop practices and lean/CORE tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hourly mechanics and inspectors through engine module, assembly, and test stages.
  • Set near- and long-term operational objectives for the team.
  • Coordinate schedules with support teams based on customer requirements and priorities.
  • Address issues and engage the workforce to achieve engine induction, teardown, inspection, and delivery goals.
  • Communicate cross-functionally to ensure smooth process flow and accountability.
  • Maintain a world-class safety culture and respond to EH&S requirements promptly.

What You Will Do:

Join the Pratt & Whitney West Palm Beach Engine Center MRO team as an Operations Supervisor (M3), leading a team of hourly CBA mechanics and inspectors and FAA safety‑sensitive employees through critical operational phases, including Module assembly, Engine assembly, and in‑process inspection of GTF engines and test operations. This visible leadership role offers a unique opportunity to develop senior‑level operations skills while driving EH&S, customer satisfaction, quality, and financial performance. You'll devise and execute operational strategies, optimize resources, and champion continuous improvement, all while fostering clear communication across teams. Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Operations, Engineering, Military, Business Management, Manufacturing, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate (A&P license)
  • Demonstrated experience in P&L management, with a track record of delivering financial performance.
  • Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
  • Personnel management experience, particularly supporting a bargaining unit / union workforce.
  • Proven ability to lead by mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivating teams to achieve business goals.
  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma, QCPC and RCCA).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, and Solumina.Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
