Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Director of Operations to lead day-to-day manufacturing across four CT sites and five business units, driving turnaround priorities, capacity planning, and Lean initiatives.

You will partner with HQ in Seoul, oversee quality, supply chain, procurement, and production planning, ensure AS9100/NADCAP compliance, and deliver on-time deliveries while improving margins.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive aerospace/gas turbine or precision manufacturing operations experience.
• 7+ years leading multi-site operations or plant leaders.
• Strong end-to-end operations knowledge across production, quality, supply chain, procurement, and planning.
• Experience managing revenue, cost, margin, and inventory for multiple business units.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Proven ability to drive turnaround, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for customers, executives, and shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing and operations across five business units at four CT sites.
• Translate strategy into annual operating plans including capacity and staffing.
• Establish a common operating system with KPIs and Lean/continuous improvement.
• Own on-time delivery and customer scorecards; lead recovery plans for at-risk deliveries.
• Drive cost reduction, productivity, and reduction of cost of poor quality.
• Lead SIOP, master production scheduling, and supplier management.
