Job summary

Teradyne is seeking an Engineering Technician to support new product engineering for Defense & Aerospace products in North Reading, MA. You will help validate new designs, assemble sub-assemblies, and ensure builds meet specifications.

Responsibilities include reading assembly drawings and CAD models, supporting NPI builds, and collaborating with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability. A technical degree plus 10+ years in manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience with NP I processes and validation of new product builds.
• Familiarity with PLM-based control architectures and motion control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support assembly and verification of new product builds during the NPI phase.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and CAD models.
• Assist in validating design concepts through hands-on assembly and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability and suggest design improvements.
• Conduct testing and verification to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols.
