Job summary

Advanced Integration Technology is seeking a Fitter to assemble structural frameworks and housings from raw material, preparing and fabricating metal components for welding. You will read blueprints and set up fabrication equipment to form pieces that meet exact specs.

The role requires working the 4:30pm–1:30am night shift with potential overtime, including weekends, and you will review parts against prints, operate heavy tools, and collaborate with team members to ensure quality results.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and measurement devices.
• Follows processes and standard procedures.
• Hands-on, get-it-done attitude.
• Uses hand tools and power tools.
• Works in a high energy, high volume environment.
• Maintains initiative and accuracy under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or assemble metal components.
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, or bolt straps for welding or riveting.
• Grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter with grinders or scrapers.
• Review parts against prints and revisions to fixtures or gauges.
• Operate or use forklifts, cranes, and measurement instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
