Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a motivated Quality Technician/NDT Ultrasonic Inspector to join our aerospace team. You will perform ultrasonic inspections using NAS 410 techniques and ensure components meet strict aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities include calibrations, data recording with traceability, identifying trends, and contributing to CAPA processes. You will mentor Level I technicians and maintain audit-ready records in a safe, organized environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in NDT or Quality disciplines preferred.
• NAS 410 Level I or Level II certification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, documentation control, and inspection traceability in aerospace/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection per codes, standards, and specs.
• Record and verify inspection data with traceability and compliance with internal/customer quality requirements.
• Identify trends, deviations, and potential quality issues in inspection results, applying analytical skills.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to CAPA processes.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to Level I technicians and maintain audit-ready records.
• Follow safety and quality procedures while handling equipment and customer components.
• Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented approach and deliver high-quality results on time or ahead of schedule.

Skills

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communicator capable of collaborating across teams and departments to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with quality management or data tracking systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and meet visual acuity requirements for inspection accuracy.
