Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC is seeking an entry-level NDT/penetrant inspector in West Springfield, MA on-site. No experience required; training provided. Responsibilities include set up of penetrant work, processing defect standards, and evaluating results to aerospace specifications.

Applicants should have a can-do attitude; manufacturing experience is a plus. ITAR-controlled environment; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Currently or recently certified in NDT FPI disciplines.
• Experience with penetrant inspection in aerospace environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and standardize penetrant processes and accept/reject results.
• Handle and evaluate pressure and water gauges; evaluate penetrant and developer.
• Ensure penetrant is applied per aerospace specifications and dwell times are controlled.
• Determine acceptability of aerospace parts per OEM specifications.
• Be familiar with Type I, Method A, form d penetrant systems and their limits.
• Coordinate with other departments in the aerospace finishing facility.
