Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC in West Springfield, MA is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Operator. Essential duties include inspecting parts pre-, during, and post-processing; operating required machinery; maintaining a clean workstation; and following Valence ROUTER procedures.

No prior experience required; training will be provided. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow directions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read process traveler and fill out completed operations.
• Able to perform simple cleaning operations.
• Able to assist as a helper to trained operators.
• Able to follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to use basic hand tools such as wrenches and clamps.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the part before, during, and after processing.
• Operate machinery and instruments safely, including routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Locate and understand relevant Quality system documentation in the Valence computer system.
• Understand and follow steps in the Valence ROUTER and fill out routers correctly; notify supervisor for issues.
• Process parts with little or no supervision.
• Avoid damage to parts and protect parts from damage.
