Job summary

Loos & Co, Inc., a division of Central Wire Group, seeks an NDT Level 2 Inspector (Penetrant PT) to join our Pomfret, CT team. You will perform non-destructive testing, visual and dimensional inspections, and document results to ensure aerospace components meet specifications.

Requirements include NAS 410 Level 2 PT, high school diploma, and manufacturing experience; aerospace exposure is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, blueprint reading, and data recording are essential.

Qualifications

• Current NAS 410 NDT Level 2 certification in Penetrant (PT) inspection.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of NDT principles, procedures, and applicable inspection standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and orders.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and inspect parts prior to Penetrant (PT) inspections.
• Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain NDT equipment for Penetrant inspections.
• Perform non-destructive testing per industry standards and customer specs.
• Interpret NDT indications and determine acceptance criteria.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of wires, cables, and assemblies.
• Input inspection data and prepare Certificates of Conformance.
• Maintain inspection, testing, and NDT records.
• Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production personnel.
